Kaiser Updates Two Fact Sheets on Women’s Health Insurance Coverage
The Kaiser Family Foundation has updated two fact sheets on women’s health insurance coverage, reflecting new data for 2010 from the U.S. Census Bureau. Women’s Health Insurance Coverage, http://www.kff.org/womenshealth/6000.cfm, provides the latest statistics on health coverage, describes the major sources of health insurance for women ages 18-64, and examines several measures in the Affordable Care Act (ACA) of 2010 that will change the profile of women’s coverage between now and 2014, when the law will take full effect. The other fact sheet, Health Insurance Coverage of Women Ages 18 to 64, by State, 2009-10, http://www.kff.org/womenshealth/1613.cfm, provides detailed state-level coverage information for the 50 states and the District of Columbia, including data on the share of women who are uninsured.
